African Americans in Obama’s America 1. I have read three articles about the African American race’s situation today. They were written by the columnist Yolanda Young, Eric Holder the Attorney General of the United States and the columnist Walter Backstrom. In all of the three articles the authors introduce us to their personal point of view about the situation of the African Americans in “Obama’s America” today. In the first article from the 14th of August 2009, written by the black woman Yolanda Young, Mrs. Young tells us about how she became visible for the white citizens after the election
