Let us remember what happened in Washington the 20th of January 2009. It was not a usual day as today; it was a very special day in history. The new President of America, Barack Hussein Obama, held an inauguration speech. 1.8 million Americans’ showed up at this memorable event, not to mention the people who watched the speech at the TV from all over the world.
Obama started his speech with a typical thank to the previous President, Bush, for his service to The United States.
Then he broached some of the issues in America. He talked about different problems like war, economic crisis and the threatened environment. But he also pointed out that there was hope to overcome all the difficulties. He touched on a religious subject, where he talked about God and the Scripture after which he said all men are equal and free.
Obama also implicated the former generations and praised the way they fought for their nation.
He was willing to extend a hand to Muslim leaders and make peace, but straight after he explained that America no longer couldn’t afford indifference to suffering outside the borders.
He closed the speech by mentioning some values, which lead to success.
