The film is about a young man who life is in Northern England. One day this young man stumbles on a ballet class, when he gets an order from his boxing couth that he needs to stay some extra time after practice, because he sucks at boxing. Then he joins the class, but keeps it a secret from his single/weird dad and his arrogant brother. 12-year-old Billy finds himself in love with ballet.
Surprisingly he demonstrates the kind of things that you do not see often in the class.
The teacher in the in the ballet school, Mrs. Wilkinson.
Mrs. Wilkinson encourage Billy to try for the Royal Ballet School in London, where he can improve his skills while escaping his unfair surroundings or environment.
But when his father and brother finds out that Billy loves to dance ballet and he goes to balley instead of going to boxing like his father and grandfather use to do. Billy’s father forbids him to continuing his dancing lust. Billy is torn between his responsibility to his family/ his father’s wishes and the gift, happiness for the dancing. However, his father finely turns and stands beside his son, as if a father is supposed to do. After a few days, they arrive to London and Billy auditions for the Royal Ballet School.
