Forrest Gump: Plot Summary

The film starts with Forrest sitting at a bus stop waiting for the bus. He starts telling strangers at the bus stop about his adventuring life. He start at the beginning; his childhood. He tells people about his mother, and that she was taking him to the doctor to get his bag fixed. Forrest has to wear some kind of metal things on his legs. Everybody now stares at him everywhere he goes. His mom takes him to a school. Here they tell him that he has a very low IQ, and that he's stupid. On the first day at school the other kids wont let him sit next to them in the bus, but one girl, Jenny, let him sit next to her, and they become best friends. The other kids bullies Forrest at throw things after him, and start hunting him. Forrest starts to run, and the metal things on his legs breaks. He finds out that he can run very, very fast. Later Forrest gets vey lucky. Because he is such a fast runner, he gets into college and play football on the schools team, and he is so good at it that he were invitet to play on the all american team. Jenny goes to another college, and Forrest misses her. After Forrest finishes college he joins the army. He does it really well in the army, and he gets a friend called Bubba. They both gets send to Vietnam. In Vietnam Forrest meets Lieutenant Dan. He is pretty hardcore. When they get bombed by the Vietnamese army, Forrest runs in and get all the other American soldiers out to the beach, including Lieutenant Dan. He gets Bubba out to the beach too, but Bubba dies. Before he dies Forrest promise him that he will buy a shrimp boat when he gets the money. That was something Forrest and Bubba should have done together.
