A fantasy story always has a protagonist and an antagonist.A protagonist is the good guy, and he will always try to make things right. And the antagonist is the bad guy and he will always try to make things worse and will always try to kill the protagonist.The antagonist can also feel good inside, if he for an example can’t kill who he is chosen to kill. In fantasy stories, it’s almost always the good guy that will win in the end, by defeating the bad guy. There may be two protagonists or antagonists, but mostly there is only one. A fantasy story has a parallel universe, the real world, and the “magic” world. Just like we see in most of the fantasy stories we either read or watch.

Harry Potter is the hero of the story, orphaned as a baby, he is brought up to his aunt and uncle, The Dursleys. Harry is being tormented by Dudley, Harry’s aunt and uncle’s son. Harry grows up unsure of his abilities and his fame at Hogwarts is well deserved after his youthful suffering growing up at the Dursleys. Yet even after Harry becomes famous he never loses his modesty and humility. Even at the end of the story, when Harry obtains The Sorcerer’s Stone and saved Hogwarts he does not feel revel in his success. Harry desires only to obtain The Sorcerer’s Stone, not to use it, unlike Voldemort. Harry just wants to make sure it doesn’t end up in the wrong hands. He is willing to put himself at risk for the sake of a friend, sometimes foolishly, as when he battles a troll to save Hermione. Harry belongs to the house of Gryffindor.
