Hermione Granger is a girl with a bit curly brown hair. She is a genius. She gets the best grades in all the classes and is the brain of the group. She knows all the facts and is a very smart girl. She has a cat which always tries to catch Ron’s rat.

Harry and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger returns to Hogwarts which is a school for wizards. And finds out that the security has been strengthened this year because of the news about Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban. The country is now guarded by Dementors, they have a special ability to make a person imagine their worst nightmare. They also cause Harry to hear and see his parents shortly before he passes out when the Dementor strikes him on their way to start their school year on Hogwarts. Professor Remus Lupin is a new teacher at Hogwarts, tells Harry Potter that he is more vulnerable to the Dementors because he has seen some bad horrors in his past. So he agrees to teach Harry a spell that can be used against the Dementors so they won’t attack him again. In the start of the year Harry gets depressed because he is not allowed to visit the nearby village named Hogsmeade. He is not allowed because he needs a sign from his parents, who are dead and the teacher doesn’t care, a rule is a rule. Fred and George Weasley show Harry a secret passageway to Hogsmeade and give him the Marauder's Map. Which is a secret map that shows who is inside Hogwarts.
