I am writing to you in the name of Curningtongs Street Festival Committee. We are a small community that are every year arranging a festival for the benefit of love and Friendship in our society. In the last couple of years we have grown from a small festival, to a rather big one, with an amount of visitors reaching astoundingly 20.000 visitors!
The story behind the festival was that 30 years ago we had a lot of trouble within the society. The young ones were doing drugs, cars were stolen, and it all peeked with a home robbery at an old lady named Mrs. Peeling. She was killed, and the murderer was a young boy who lived in the neigh-bourhood. Since then we have been arranging the festival, to bring the young ones together, keep them from criminality, and ever since we started the grades have been rising in our local school, and the remaining money there is, we spend on afterschool activities.
The festival is being held at the 25th of July, and some local performers will show some acts, there will be a small Tivoli, places to win prices and off course food stamps. We have a tradition that the middle schoolers from Curningtongs Middle School will perform an act, which this year will be a re-writing of the famous Romeo and Julie by Shakespeare.
