The three following articles; Warning," It's only me," and They're lethal - unfeeling and no one can touch them, all have somewhat of the same focus points, although they are in fact very different!

In Warning, the author Terry McCarthy writes on how a 15 year old boy from California, USA, were led to showing up at school armed with his father's 22 caliber revolver, killing three and hitting 13 others. The answer given in this text, on why he did this, is that he was picked on at school, neglected by his parents and desperately in the need of attention and someone to take him seriously!
"It's only me," does not give us one exact answer to the question of who or what is to blame for violence amongst children. Instead we are presented to four different possible reasons which could lead children into doing these unspeakable things. The journalist asks the question himself, and then afterwards comes with the following suggestions:
"is it the absence of parents, the presence of guns, the cruelty of the culture, the culture of cruelty?".
In the third and final text, They're lethal - unfeeling and no one can touch them, we are given some of the same reasons for child-violence as in "It's only me,". It is described that the environment which children grow up in, has a large part in how the children evolve. We are told that the children cannot resist the life with drugs and violence, because if they try to focus on their education, they will earn less money, neither will they get any respect from their fellow youngsters.
