Because I think everybody should have equal option in their life and I like the idea of a man rising himself to the top, and because my family immigrated so I have a lot of personal experience.
What is the American Dream?
The American dreams is a way of saying that everybody has a chance in life no matter what family you are in and that all men are created equal. The American dream includes liberty and that you can pursuit your dreams.
Expectations of a fresh start
Everybody was of Couse really excited and had a lot of hope for a fresh start to get rich and get their children an education, they were hoping to get happier and live like the rich. Many of them was expecting that the streets where made of gold because they were told that there so much gold in America.
From rags to riches
Not many people got rich like there were told they would be, some did but most of the immigrants stayed poor.
The frontier movement
The frontier movement was in the late 1800 where the Americans where getting ground to the vest because there were getting crowded in the cities. But there were a lot of Indians in the land so the Americans got them some other land that of Couse became a problem after, because the Americans toke almost all the land and there where almost no land left for the indians. The Americans sold the land to the American people. That was great opportunity to live out the American dream get some land almost for free from the government and live happy. In the late 1800 the Americans made a race the fastest person to put 4 sticks in the ground, they wanted would get the ground almost for free. People were racing to get the best land. And man once said to the American people “go west young boy” said by Horace Greeley.
