Martin influenced the world by promoting equal rights for everyone, and by that he especially helped the blacks by getting them the same rights as the whites.

This all started after Martin had held his speech about his dreams and visions, where both whites and blacks worked to make this dream about a future with harmony come true.

Even though Martin had a big influence on the world, there’s still racism and discrimination against other races. But then history in the U.S. was made when Barack Obama was elected as president of the U.S.

Martin once held a speech ’’I Have A Dream’’ in association with citizen rights march in Washington, D.C. Martin’s speech were about his dreams and visions about a future in the U.S. where everybody, no matter their race, could live together in harmony as equal citizens.

The speech was held in front of more than 250.000 people on the stairs to Lincoln Memorial.

This speech is seen as one of the most meaningful speeches ever.

Martin Luther King has won three different awards: Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977 and Congressional Gold Medal in 2004. He won the Nobel Peace Prize on October 14th. Sadly when winning the two other awards, he was already dead.
