lefttop“Hello, my name is Martin Luther King, Jr. I was born on January 15, 1929. My parents were Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King. My mother was a teacher and she taught me to read before I started school. She also tried to explain prejudice and the Jim Crow laws that separated Whites and Blacks.” Learning About Discrimination I went to school at Booker T. Washington High School. I was part of the debate team and had to travel to a different school for the debates. I was sitting near the front of the bus with my teacher.
