Facts about the Amish lifestyle
The Amish people live in their own way, their religion is that they have their own rules, which they also have written down, in the Ordnung, which is their kind of a bible.
The Amish people have a lack of technology, that’s their lifestyle, they live their life in a way, that we would consider as a boring life.
Here in Denmark, most teenagers, can’t live a day without using internet, that’s the same, with a lot of grown ups, because we use internet for pretty much everything. We can definitely not as the Amish people, live a life without technology, if we had to start today. We use technology for everything, when we work, study, are at home, do chores etc.
The family is the most important social ‘group’ in the Amish culture. Families with seven to ten children are common. The chores are divided by sexual role in the Amish families.
