My topic is identity and under that i chose tattoos. I did taht because I think that tattoos are very interesting and it has become very popular to have a tattoo so theres a lot to talk about.

Tattoos startet about 8000 years ago in what we today know as asia. The tattoos were most populair in japan but it quickly spread to china and india. They used tattoos as body decorration, just like we do it today. They did it by poring ashes into open wounds so that the scar would get a black colur. They later discovered that you could use a sharp rock or knife with ashes on to cut small holes or patterns into your skin. There has actually been found a mumie witch is about 7000 years old with tattoos in the mouth.

The tattooing culture started to grow and one of the first countries to discover them was new zealand. I quickly became big there and in new zeland was where it started to look like the tattoos as we know today. people in new zealand were really interested in tattoos and this was where tattooes really evolved. Thay started to use ink instead of ash and they discoveres that needles were perfect for tattooing. It wes also in new zealand where the first tattoomachine was build. Many painters and designers started tattooing and the first ever tattoo shop opend in new zealand.
