Et analytisk essay af "The Meeting" Uddrag: The setting in the short story starts by being relatively dark, Sakina describes everything as being very dimmed and dirty, and compares it to the times when her mother used to be there, at that time everything was bright and clean. Things are broken around the house, and objects that used to be beautiful are not dust filled. An example of the darkness that suppresses the house could be: “She found herself trying to unsuccessfully to overlook the tea-pot’s slightly chipped handle…the tray had been beautiful, but now dust filled the spaces between the carving.”
