How are you doing? Sorry it’s been so long since we last talked, but I have been so busy working and getting my new life started and so on.
I recently started a new job at the Virgin Group. At the moment I am only a “runner” which means I have to help out the full time employees. My primary jobs are to make coffee, prepare the meeting rooms and so on. That’s not what I’d like to do, but it’s a start, and it’s a good way into the firm and hopefully I’m going to be able to move up in the hierarchy. It’s hard to get a job at Virgin Galactic, unless you know somebody. It’s a huge umbrella company, with more than fifty thousand employees! Virgin consists of more than 400 companies! I’ve started in the Virgin Galaxy group, one of the minor companies with only a couple of hundred co-workers. Our mission is to commercialize space exhibitions. It basically means we can fly tourists to space so they have the chance to feel weightless and get an amazing experience that only few people have experienced before. But it’s an expensive affair. When we make it possible, each ticket will cost around two hundred thousand dollars (200.000 $) but hopefully, it will be worth it. We have a very eccentric owner of the company called Richard Branson; maybe you have heard of him. He is like a Rock star in the entrepreneur world. He has achieved many great things, and he is such an inspiration. I have only met him on few occasions, but he seems like a genuinely nice guy, with a lot of charisma! He started the Virgin group when he was only sixteen years old. On one of his last days of school, the principal told him that he would either end up in jail, or become a millionaire! I think it’s an inspiring story and I’m sure that he will have a huge impact on upcoming entrepreneurs, and of course the “old” entrepreneurs.
