The new Tesco Farm to Fork project is a brilliant idea. Teaching youngsters to eat healthy and thinking about what they put on their plates, needs to be something more people focus on. The problem of obesity is getting bigger and we need to get more attention to it, so making this project is a great idea. We need more people too see that we have a problem and that we have to eat healthier. Food is a big part of the daily round. So if you just grab a chocolate bar when you are hungry, then you will get hungry again fast, because there is not a lot of nourishment in a chocolate bar, so you will just grab one more. Instead of that people need to eat a healthy meal because that will keep you going for much longer, and then you will not eat that much. Eating organic is also a big part of eating well. Because in food that is not organic, there is a lot of bad additives and that is not healthy for your body. Organic food can be a little more expensive than not organic food, but we need to let the youngsters know that it is worth it. I think it is great to see that Tesco is putting a lot of focus on that. I also think that the parents are a big part of the problem about youngsters eating unhealthy, because the parents serve them food every day. If the food they serve them is unhealthy, then the youngster will think that it is okay to eat unhealthy every day. I think that the parents need to get drawn a little into the project too, so that they can help the child, learning how to eat correctly and to stay healthy. The child should maybe get a brochure or maybe a little cooking book to take home to their parents and then they could make dinner together with the respires from the small cooking book, and then the child will learn that eating and making healthy food, can be fun. The idea of the online field trips is also great. But I think that putting a real field trip or two into the project would be a good idea too. Because people are different, and not all children learn by sitting in a classroom and looking at a screen. Some children need to get out there and see where the food they put on their plate comes from. They don’t need to get far away, maybe just the local farm, too see how milk or corn end up on their plate. If a youngster in the class already are eating healthy and organic, then that child have the responsibility to draw all his classmates into eating healthy and organic. They don’t have to be ashamed of having a salad for lunch in lunch break at school, while their friends have brought a chocolate bar for lunch. They need to teach the children around them, that eating healthy is good, and they can do that by eating healthy around them. If we got that on point, then the youngster’s future is looking a lot better. That was my opinions about the Farm to Fork project. I am looking forward to read the article in your magazine.Words: 560
