The well-known supermarket chain Tesco is doing a kind of a campaign to get people choose healthier food habits. It is called a "Farm to Fork" project, which they want to show pupils in the British schools, so that they can learn, how to make better decisions for themselves, about what they put on their plate. Tesco has also called it the "Eat Happy" project, because if the pupils, know what they eat, they can easier be happy about it, and don't worry about what it is and where it comes from. And I would also guess that it would stop many girls thinking so much about if it´s is going to make them fat like there is a lot of young girls doing these days. This farm to fork project is something, which is going to make the British students interested in what they eat and where it comes from. How it gets from "farm to fork". I think it´s a very good idea and I can't see why anyone hasn't got on that idea earlier. It´s so important to learn kids to choose healthier food, not just so that they can be in the best of health now, but also so that they can understand the significance, of how important it is for the rest of their life. The project's message is also to give the pupils an understanding of what it is they put in their mouth when they eat lunch. I think that this project could be something other countries would get very inspired of. The project is made so the pupils can get through online field trips and experience the foods way from "farm to fork". I would say that if the pupils could see it themselves, in the reality, it would have a bigger influence on them. You can compare it to see a movie about the kids in Africa being in need versus taking the airplane down to Africa and experience it with your own eyes. It would always be the real experience, having the biggest influence. But of course, everyone can't get on a real field trip, and then I think it´s a good alternative to make these online field trips instead. The pupils can also learn about where their food comes from by chatting live to real growers, where they can ask about how all the food production works, and how their food gets from the farm to fork.About kid's food decisions, I also think that it has a lot to say, what kind of food their parents are used to give their children. If a pupil has got Kinder chocolate and Nutella kraps every day in their lunch pack, it isn't weird that they keep choosing that kind of food further in life. A lot of the responsibility of the kid's food habits lies at the parents. All in all, I am a very big fan of this project and I hope so much that it is going to make a difference for the children's health. If it´s going to work like the supermarket chain Tesco, wants it to, I think it´s going to be a very big thing. I hope that the rest of the world get inspired by it, and also try to make the same kind of campaign, so all the worlds kids can get a healthier lifestyle.
