Racisme og politivold i Ferguson, Missouri

The 9th of August 2014, Michael Brown, who was a black man in 18 years old, was shot dead by a police officer in the town of Ferguson, Missouri. The police officer was a white man.

The reason for the violence in Ferguson's streets is because the white polici officer Darren Wilson shot the 18 -year-old black Michael Brown.

The authorities said that Michael Brown and his friend were a menace to the society, as the 10 minutes before the shooting had robbed a toacco kiosk. But it was quickly apparent that Michael Brown got a bullet in the forehead, while he was on his knees with his hands up. In other words, the townspeople found that the police officer’s actions were racial arbitrariness and killings, and they retaliated against the white minority with looting and civil disobedience.

The problems in Ferguson had spread to New York and around the Americas. As President Barack Obama said "Ferguson's problem has become America's problem." The demonstrations were more of, and in many different cities.

After this incident, there have been several many demonstrations in Ferguson and around America. Many people have been injured and even killed during theses various demonstrations.

The riots in Ferguson may also be because that the black people want equality and equal rights as the whites. Which is very understandable, because nobody wants that there will be chopped down on them at any time and all eyes should be on themselves when there is the slightest trouble or when someone commits a crime.
