The movie “Elephant” is about the two boys, who were the killers at the Columbine shooting. The composition throughout the movie builds up to the school shooting, and we follow different people’s daily routines leading up to the shooting. After the preparation, up to the school shooting, we follow Eric and Alex at the school where they shoot the students and teachers they could find. They just walked quietly around at the school, where they at last found each other and Alex shoot Eric. Alex finds Nathan and his girlfriend, where he is trying to decide who he wants to kill first and it is here the movie ends.

The settings:

The movie is built up with different kinds of scenes like there is in a movie, but the specials with these scenes is that first, we are experiencing the same scene several times just from different points of view. This is made to show how the individual has experienced the whole episode from their point of view. An example, there is a scene where we first see it from Jacks point of view, then Elias and at last Michelle. The scene shows Elias that takes a picture of Jack, where Michelle runs past in the background.
