Filmen 'Elephant': en handlingsgennemgang

The movie ’’Elephant’’ is about a school violence which happened in Littleton 20 April 1999. The two boys Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were 18 and 17 years old. They have planned for a year to kill at least 500 students and blow up their entire school, but they only killed 14 students 1 teacher and 23 others got wounded, after the massacre they killed themselves. The 2 boys got their weapons from the internet, and they took everything easily, because they only did this for fun. For them it was like a game, which they have played before.

The movie starts with a boy who goes to school at the morning. He got too late because he’s father were drunk, so the boy had to call a friend so he could get he’s father home safe. The inspector noticed that it was not the first time he got late, but he gave the boy a chance. After that we followed some other students in the movie, we saw how well they were and how the school was. We also followed the 2 boys planning how to kill many students as possible and how they wanted to blow up the school. When the post came with their weapons were the boys so happy, and they’re couldn’t wait to try the weapons, so they walked directly outside and shot in to a pile of wood. They didn’t care if people heard them, but after that they took a shower together and kissed, because none of them had never kissed a girl and they knew that they were going to die that day, so they had to enjoy the last hours of their lives. After they packed their things, drove the 2 boys to the school to have some fun. When they came to the school, comes the boy we saw earlier in the movie. He asked the 2 boys what they were going to do, the boys said to him that he should go and not go in to the school. The boy realized that something terrible would happen, so he said to everyone he could find out of the school, that they not should go inside again. Then suddenly a big explosion came from the school. Everybody tried to run out the school, the 2 boys walked round the school and shot 14 students, 1 teacher and 23 others got wounded. After that they met at the canteen, where they talked about how many kills they have got. Then 1 of the boys shot the other, and the last boy shot him selves.
