Dystopisk samfund i 'The Hunger Games'

The Hunger Games shows a dystopian society because the Capitol has all the power,

the districts suffer, and people lose their freedom – and this can be compared to

problems in our own world today.

A dystopian society is like a world that looks good on the outside but in reality is really

harsh and scary to live in. Its opposite is a utopia which is like a perfect place where

everything is great and people are happy and there’s no crime and life is fair. That’s very

different from The Hunger Games. In the story it is clear that the rich in the Capitol

control the districts and take away their rights.

In The Hunger Games we see that there's a huge difference between rich and poor. The

Capitol is very rich and has a lot of clothes and food. But it’s very different from the

districts especially District 12 which is the district that Katniss lives in. District 12 is so

poor that people are starving and have to get their own food through for example

hunting. It’s a society where the rich in the Capitol and in the lower districts for example

District 1 get richer and the poor people in the higher districts for example District 12
