“I don’t care!” I yelled and shut the door behind me. I rushed to my bed and took out my phone. Twelve unread messages from people asking me why I wasn’t at the party yet. I was seriously considering sneaking out at that point but believe it or not, I’ve always been a good girl. Until I got into high school at least. High school changed people. It certainly changed me a lot especially after my parents divorced last year.
My mom had forbidden me to go out ever since I got a D on my math test. I mean, I always thought math was hard but I didn’t think I was THAT bad. And of course, the one time that my mom pays any attention to me is when I fail at something. I just hadn’t had any time to study because of my social life. Everyone always wanted to talk to me, love me, hate me and everything else that came with being the popular girl in High school. It was exhausting and time consuming but it was worth it. I was everything I ever wanted to be. Beautiful, popular, exciting and admired. However, it always felt like something was missing. Something inside of me that I had somehow managed to burry in the dark end of my heart.
