'The Selfish Cucumber'

Once upon a time there was a cucumber. The cucumber lived in the old Mr. Kansan’s house, on the table with vegetables. On the table there was a lot of different vegetables. There were tomatoes, onions, Chilli, lettuce, carrots, beans, peas, beets, broccoli, eggplants, pumpkins, and there were the three peppers green pepper, yellow pepper and red pepper. One day the cucumber went for a long walk in the parsley wood, when he suddenly fell over something: ''Aw!',' the cucumber shouted, then he looked back, and what he thought, was a stick was the beautiful Celery. Celery was the most beautiful and gorgeous vegetable in the town. Everybody in the city knew her and liked her, especially the cucumber. ''Hi'', the cucumber said ''Why did you hit me?''. She answered in a squeaky voice '' Ugh, I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to hit you I just...'' The cucumber answered just before Celery stopped him and said, ''It is okay'',''fine, but if I can help you with anything, then you can just ask'', the cucumber said and began to walk slowly away.

Knock knock knock...Someone stood and knocked on the door. The cucumber walked down stairs, and opened the door. Outside he saw Celery. She looked miserable, and it looked like she just cried enough to fill a hole flood. ''What is wrong?'' The cucumber asked, and Celery answered nearly crying, ''my date to the vegetable prom canceled, and now I don’t have anyone to go with'', '' I’ll go with you'', the cucumber said, and Celery was a little released, then Celery calmed down, and left. The cucumber was in a hurry, he was going to meet Celery at the Three Peppers Castle at 9pm, and it was already 7:30pm. The cucumber got his finest clothes and shoes on, and then he ran out to his car. It was raining. He tried to open the car, when he dropped his keys in a drain. The cucumber yawned about it, and started walking.
