What is it to be selfish? What are de consequences of selfishness? Everyone on this planet has been selfish once or twice in their lifetime. Whether it was with our belongings or people. It is a natural instinct people have, but they often learn the consequences by being selfish. Which is often known as karma, where once choices come back to an individual most likely in a negative manner. In this text we get to read about a giant that is very selfish and gets to deal with the consequences.

The story starts by telling us that the children used to play daily in the Giant’s garden because the creature has been away for seven years visiting his friend, the Cornish ogre. When the giant returned to his castle, he was disturbed by the children’s presence. He then decided to chase them away and build a wall around his property. We can clearly see that the giant is very selfish and wants to enjoy his garden all by himself. The children miss the garden, but they are too afraid to trespass. they now have to find another playground. They are not able to find another playground because the roads are too busy for them to play on, and they end up wandering next to the giant’s wall.
