I have chosen this topic because I find their history and their culture fascinating.

I also wondered why many years of their traditions suddenly changed from one day to another.

Who are the Aboriginals?

History:

The Aboriginal were the first people of Australia. They are the oldest surviving culture. They came to Australia about 176.000 years ago from Africa or Asia. Aboriginal mean the native population. The word “aboriginal” comes from the Latin word “ab origine” which mean “from the beginning”. However they don’t call themselves aboriginals, because they had different names depended on which language they spoke or which group they were in. People of today, means that the aboriginal people came to Australia but in the Aboriginals history it says, that they lived there ever since Australia existed.

Traditions:

One of the biggest traditions they had was Rock art. Australian rock art is one of the oldest unbroken traditions of art in the world. Sometimes their painting were complicated. They often painted scenes of their legends or they painted animals like kangaroos, snakes, birds and others. In the middle of Australia, there are also bark paintings, they have a very similar style. The paintings they did is very similar to what the Egyptian did inside the pyramids.
