A: Summary

The video clip starts off with two hostess telling us that new research shows that the brain functions better when we are doing exercise, and that it may have important implications, especially for kids. The two hostess are also introducing us to a school where they have taken this research to heart, and get kids to move while learning. We then see the students who appears to be working out, but are in fact studying. While this is on, a gym teacher from the school is telling us what they are doing. The teacher explains that they are putting kids in PE-classes where they study the classes they struggle in, and that this program actually shows great results. We then see Dr. John Ratey a professor of psychiatry, he explains how moving helps us remember better. After the short explanation, the teachers then tell us they opinion on this new research. The teachers all agree on, that the kids learn more and does not zone out while in class. After the teachers have been interviewed it is the students turn. They say that it is easier to concentrate after a little run, and that you are also more awake. One of the hostess rounds off with saying more school are actually cutting down on PE in favor of more academic classes, when study show that the kids need PE in order to excel academically.
