Healthy living is feeling good about yourself, both physical and psychological. A big part of a “healthy” body is also psychological. Feeling good about what you do for a living, you shouldn’t really care that much for other people’s opinions.

When I am looking at overweight persons I think to myself “why not do something about it?” Because I would never be comfortable being 20 kg heavier than advised by doctors and physiologist, and not just because of that. My confidence and happy personality would disappear if I were uncomfortable with myself. On the other side, you could have a sickness that causes the overweight. Or maybe they don’t find it necessary to begin a weight loss; they are maybe comfortable with whoever they are and look like.

How to fight obesity and too much fast food.

I think it’s the parent’s responsibility to teach their children that healthy food and exercise is good for their body.

The number one cause of obesity is too much fast food. Cook your own food and make sure that it is healthy, because when your children grow up, they will most of likely follow the pattern that you started, a kind of good circle that keeps on going, instead of the typical bad ones. The concern is that, whether or not we have the money. I just saw the documentary; “Supersize Me” where the journalist had to eat McDonalds food 3 times a day, and if they asked “Supersize menu?” he had to take the supersize. After one week, his health had changed so dramatically that the doctor was afraid for his health. The journalist kept on going, eating meal after meal, gaining more and more pounds and after 3 weeks of consuming McDonald’s food, his doctor told him to stop because the risk of a heart attack was increased with 33%. On the other hand you also need a healthy cantina on the school.
