Power: definition og betydning

What does power mean? Power means a lot of things, the first thing I think of when I hear the word “power” is the meaning of having power, like president Obama, or Putin. When I hear the word power I translate the word to Danish, and the first translation I think of is like having power over humans, or other humans. There are many definitions of power. There is power over other humans, electric power, superpowers, horsepower, but still I think the most superior definition is power over other humans, which is why I have chosen to focus the most on that.

Power over other humans is a very fragile topic, because there is a lot of different opinions. I think that it sometimes can be good and sometimes bad, that some people have power over other people, and sometimes a whole country. I think that Obama is a good president and Trump is a bad one, which is a perfect example. I think its good that Obama has power over other people, because he can handle it and he uses his power on a way that helps society. Then when I think about how Trump is going to be president I think that he will use his power in a bad way and he won’t help society. I think it’s a delicate situation when its power over a country, but if you only have power over the people who works in for example your store then I think its easier to evaluate if it’s good that the person is having power. Because when its only over 6-7 persons the opinions aren’t that different.
