Henry ford was born on 30th of July 1863, on a farm west for Detroit and died on 7th April 1947. Today Detroit is called Dearborn. Henry ford was the oldest son in his family. When Henry was a kid he was very glad for cars. When he was 12 years old he spent a lot of time in his workshop where he tried to design his own engine. When he was 15 year old he made his first “combustion engine” if you don’t know what a combustion engine is it’s called “bræningstofmoter” on Danish. In 1879 he moved to Detroit and worked as a “mechanic apprentice” after a number of months Henry ford decided to start his own company.
He built his first car prototypes in 1890s. In 1896, he completed his invention called "quadricycle". The “quadricycle” car didn’t have a gear or brake and it was the lightest car on the market the weight of the car was only 500p (1000kg). He was the man that should test the car. (It was the first time he ever derived a car). Finally the company didn’t have enough money to develop the business. And a short time after the company went bankrupt because Henry spent more time trying to upgrade the cars instead of selling them.
