As you know I attend high school in America, and it has so far been really exciting, but also challenging, and I would like to tell you a little bit about how my week has proceeded.
I arrived at school for my first class 8:30, open-minded and ready to meet new people and teachers. I was sent to the headmasters office, where I were supposed to meet my new English teacher aswell. I got filled in on our curriculum for the year, and what they’d already gone trough. After that she took me to my class.
Stepping foot in to the class, a awkward atmosphere of silence occurred, but then they slowly came to me and shook my hand saying hi. I got a couple af my classmates to show me around the school. They have great facilities for football and soccer. They have a huge library with an infinite amount of books, and a great cafeteria. They also switch classrooms between each class, so we get lockers to keep our belongings in, which is different from Denmark.
After the final class at 15:15, all the kids go to clubs right by the school, where they play videogames, sports, pool and all sorts of fun things. At the club I had a much better chance, to get to know people, because they all kind of loosent up. I’m actaully a bit surprised we don’t have the same school clubs, where it’s almost obligatory to go there and be social.
