Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta, Georgia in the USA in 1929. His original name was Michael Luther King jr, just like his father, but after his father had been to a Baptist conference in Berlin 1934, changed his name and his son's name to Martin Luther King instead Michael Luther the only different between their names was junior and senior.

Martin Luther king jr was born in and grew up in a strong believer, middle-class African-American family.Martin Luther sr was a priest that was also the reason to that martin Luther jr chooses to become a priest too. So Martin Luther jr just followed in his father's steps. In 1944, when Martin Luther king jr was about 15 years old he was admitted to Morehouse College, it was there where his father and his grandfather went. It was there that he first heard about Mahatma Ghandhi, the Indian freedoms fighter who fought for India's independence from Britain. from that day was mahatma Gandhi a role model for Martin Luther jr.

on december 1, 1955 a 42 years old black woman by the name Rosa Parks refused to give her seat to a white person, then the driver ask her but she refused again. then the drive calls to the police and gets her arrested.
