I chose Nelson Mandela because I love what he did to the world. I think he is one of the reasons why we look at racism the way we look at it today. He is a very interesting person with a lot of experience.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born om July 18, 1918 in South Africa. His middle name Rolihlahla means trouble maker, but that’s one of the last thing he would be. Mandela’s father was chief and adviser of Thembuland. The plan for Mandela was an arranged marriage and the new advisor to Thembuland, but none of those titles was not what he wanted.
Early life
When Mandela was 9 years old, his father died of lung disease, when that happened his life to change dramatically. He was adopted by Chief Jonhgintaba Dalindyebo, the new chief of the Thembuland. Later Mandela left the carefree life in Qunu. Mandela was fearing that he would never see his lovely town again. He traveled by motorcar to Mqhekezweni, the capital of Thembuland. He had not forgotten his beloved town Qunu, but he quickly fit in, in the new town Mqhekezweni.
ANC
Mandela joined the African National Congress also callt ANC in 1942. In 1944 he made ANC Youth League with Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo, William Nkomo and Anton Lembede. Their goal was to change ANC. The origination tried to fight the racism, there already was integrate part of the South Africa community. For 20 years, ANC made some peaceful strike against the South African government and its racist policies.
