Short SummaryThe story ”tribes” is about a boy named Kevin, who is new in town, new or new, he moved in a little time back and has made one good friend, Tommy.Tommy and him spent their time playing innocent games and they are as far from a problem child as you can be.But their neighbourhood has a bad hatch, gangs, one night Kevin is on his own, but before he knows of it, he’s being chased by a large group of boys calling them selves “The Rebels”, Kevin is running for his own life, but he doesn’t know the neighbourhood that well, so quickly he finds himself trapped in a parking building, hidden by the dark he sees an exit sign, on the way though he sets off a car alarm and alerts the rebels of his presence, he runs out and then suddenly another rivalling gang appears and saves him from the rebels.The other gang calls them selves “the Tribe” and the entire story is about Kevin’s way up the latter of respect in the gang.Kevin’s father hates and disgust gangs, and that is the eyes Kevin sees the Tribe with, but Salom, their leader, has an evil tongue and sweet talks Kevin into first helping the tribe but later joining it, in the “tribe” 3 people are important, Salom who is the leader, Torry who has Salom as an almost god like idol and Doc, an mysterious person.Throughout the story its pretty much just about how they are harassed by “the rebels” and how they do revenge, but still there is one question that puzzles Kevin, all over the city giant letters write one sentence.“SALOM IS EVIL” it takes the entire story for Kevin to realize that he has been lied to all the time and that Salom is the evil one, and doc, the mysterious person is the good guy, it all escalades when Doc suddenly brakes is leg from falling don a staircase.Kevin realizes what a grim person Salom is.
