Hello Everyone. I would like to bid you all welcome today and thank you for giving me the opportunity to perform a speech at the EU youth conference 2014 here in Brussels. It is an honour to be here today. It is the first time I have performed a speech in front of such an audience. My name is [NAVN A], I am 18 years old and I am a currently studying at The London School of Economics and Political Science. The theme I would like to touch upon is the UK immigration, where I will discuss whether immigration is good or bad for Britain. In this speech, I will primarily address four areas, where immigration is believed to have an impact. Those areas are as follows economic, social, cultural and political. I have set approximately 15 minutes for questions after my speech, but if you have something important to ask about that just cannot wait, feel free to interrupt me while performing my speech. To substantiate some of my points in my speech, I have chosen some extra material. It is the following texts: “How can you be British without speaking English?” and “Majority of voters think immigration is harming Britain”.
