Good afternoon students. Welcome to this speech about Brexit. I have been looking so forward to telling you about Brexit and the UK government, and being here in this lovely country Denmark. I am [NAVN A], 32 years old, and I am an specialist in British affairs. I am going to tell you about what Brexit is, in case some of you don’t know it, and have not heard about it. I am then going to discuss the pros of Brexit, and the cons of it. Also I am going to comment on how the UK government intends to make a success of Brexit. So we have an exciting evening ahead of us. If you may have a question to me, about Brexit or the UK government, you are more than welcome to ask me about it after the speech.
So for starters. Brexit was an election that found place at Thursday June 23, 2016 in Britain. The election was about whether or not Britain was going to stay in the EU, or leave the EU. The results of the election was for Britain to leave the EU, and they won with 800.000 more votes than staying. Which means Britain will not be a part of the EU anymore from 2018. But right now they are negotiating with the rest of the EU countries, about free trade, which we will speak more about later in the speech.
