Walkabout . World war 2 has just started. On a little land far away in Australia, a little beef farm was placed. The farm was called Faraway downs, and the farm is a farm, which got beef cattles. The cattles are going to go to the big “metalship” that whats Nullah calls it, before the ship leaves. Nullah is a boy who lives on the farm, Faraway downs. His mother is black and his dad is white. The owner of Faraway downs is Lord Ashley. He's from England, and his wife Sarah Ashley, will in a few days come to Australia, to visit him on the farm. On the way to Lord Ashley, she meets Drover in Darwin. Drover follows Sarah to Faraway downs. But when they arrives Lord Ashley is dead. Fletcher, who is Nullahs dad, had killed him. Sarah was very mad at him, and she didn’t think that he treated Nullah well. So as the new owner of Faraway Downs, she fired him. Sarah says to drover “if you help me, i will give you my horse” They starts to drive the cattles. On the way fletcher is chasing them, and by the night he tries to make the cows run over the cliff. But then Nullah start to sing and the cows stop. But in the meantime the cows had ran over Flynn. He's a man who helps Sarah. When they comes to Darwin they almost running out of time, but they gets the cows on the ship because of Drover. Drover get the horse and the town will have a charity party, Sarah asked Drover if he want to go, but he says no thanks. To the party Sarah dance with King Carny. King Carry is the biggest man in the Beef cattles carrier. He´s very impressed over them. But then Drover shows up to the party and Sarah and Drover are going to be boyfriends. They are going back to Faraway downs and everything is good, until Nullah and KIng George going walkabout… They cops takes Nullah, and put King George to prison. They send Nullah to Mission island with some other half-cast boys and a priest to get “clean”. Japan attacks Mission Island and Darwin. Everything in Darwin is chaos and pepels is wounded.
