Filmanalyse af 'Australia'

The film is about a woman called Lady Sarah Ashley. She went to Australia to visit her husband on a cattle station called Faraway Downs, but when she came, and then she saw that he was killed.

One night she heard a voice and it was that night she met Nullah. Nullah is a little boy. He is half aborigine and half white. Nullah use magic which he learned from his grandfather King George, and he is a Gulapa (magic man). That night told Nullah Lady Sarah Ashley that Fletcher doing wrong site business with Nullahs mother and he is very mean to all the aborigines. The next day fired Lady Sarah Ashley Fletcher and took over the farm. Fletcher works for a man called Carney who will buy Faraway Downs, but Lady Sarah Ashley will not sell it. Nullah mother died in a water tank because her and Nullahs was forced to hide from police. Lady Sarah Ashley meets a man named Drover, whom she felt in love with and Drover lived with Lady Sarah Ashley and Nullah. One day Nullah has disappeared and been captured, to be sent to an island where there were only boys like him and they would become Christians. Drover said he would come back, but Lady Sarah Ashley didn’t believe it. Drover rode his way and said that he would not come back again and Lady Sarah Ashley went out to find Nullah. She got a job at a radio station where she tried to contact Nullah. The World War 2 started and where Lady Sarah Ashley worked was bombed. Drover heard about it and thought she was dead. He took out to find Nullah and rescued all the children. Nullah played a song who Lady Sarah Ashley sang to him when his mother was dead. Lady Sarah Ashley heard it and they found each other.
