Okay, so I just got home from this fantastic school trip to Scotland with my class! We spent the nights, on the hotel called “Ibis Styles Edinburgh Centre St Andrew Hotel” it was a nice hotel, but we didn’t spend much time there. It was only a four-day trip, so we had to take advantage of the little time we had there, and we sure did. On the first day, we walked around Edinburgh. We only saw a few people, who wore kilts and played bagpipes. Honestly? I thought, that we would have seen, many more people wearing kilts and playing bagpipes. In my opinion, the playing on bagpipes sounded terrible. When we had walked around the city for a while, we went to see Edinburgh castle. It was really interesting, because of all the history there. The first parts of Edinburgh Castle were built, all the way back in the 12th century. We also had to try some food called Haggis, which is some kind of Scottish food. I really didn't like it, but some of my classmates did. On the second day, we went to the lake Loch Ness. We had to wake up, at about 6 A.M. so that we would make our train. The train ride was about 45 minutes The whole day went by, with us walking around the lake, and learning about the history, and the captivating nature around there. We were told the story of Loch Ness... BTW, we didn't see Loch Ness or any sea monster at that. The third day, was ”Braveheart” day. We went hiking, in the Scottish highland, to see, amongst other places, where the battle of Stirling bridge actually took place, and to hear the real story. For me, this day was the most interesting, because we saw some places that had both been in a very popular movie, and in real life been place to so much history.
