The newest iPhone, the biggest car and the most expensive clothes. Do we really need all of that? Does money buy happiness? Money has a big influence on the American society and everyone has different opinions about how to spend them. Once upon a time, all the materialistic things did not mean a thing. It was the community and society that meant something, not whether you had a big house or a small house, nor did it mean a thing if you did not have the opportunity to travel around the world. Those were the better days when the people around you meant more than your phone.
Some people find that money is the answer, no matter the question. These are the people with loads of money. The kind of people where materialism is number one in the hierarchy of needs. The ones who thinks money can buy happiness. Someone who thinks that materialism equals happiness. Maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong. There is no correct answer. It depends on your view on the topic. And the answer to those speculations is different from person to person. Not many people believe the same, and that is what makes it so hard. How do we reduce the use of materialism? Let us get back to that later.
