I think we are dealing with a rich couple here because they have some very fine clothes.

I think the man has a job as moneychanger or something in that way. I think his a moneychanger because he has different coins and it looks likes he is counting them.

Here we see his wife by his side with an open book maybe a bible. She seems more interested in the money counting and changing than in reading and devoting herself to her bible.

It seems like money is really important for these two people. It’s difficult two say why they not are happy. If I were in their position I would be happy for so lot of money.

I am not sure, but it seems for me that the couple not are satisfied. They want more money. They are not satisfied with the money they have now. They want more. And maybe these two people are really greedy because they are selfish and still want more money.

If I should give the painting a title I would call the painting something in this way: ”Hey, it’s okay to count your money, but don’t forget the important things in the life.
