LLyr is a 16-year-old transgender, who grew up on a farm near Aberystwyth, as a child she felt very different from what she was, she felt gross looking in in the mirror and really hated it. It took her four years before she came out as a transgender. In school she was always the odd one, sometimes she would take her dolls to school and play with them, and then quickly realize that it wasn’t a boy thing it was very painful for her to feel that confusion. One day Llyr came across transgender people on youtube, and that intrigued her, the more she read and watched the more sense it made to her. It’s extremely hard to go through transgender, the journey will be way more, easy to get through if you have someone to talk with.
Llyr got supportive reaction when she came out as a transgender, both her mum and dad were very supportive about her being a transgender. In school the reactions were the opposite from the way her mom and dad reacted, she was bullied badly for things like her haircut and the way she walked.
Llyr has a very close relationship to her mum, so she was the first one she talked, she didn’t feel nervous telling her. Going further into the transgender treatment she became more and more happy.
