Hello miss Henriette. I miss you and I miss all my old friends. My new school is fantastic, it s called Bold High School Home of the Warriors. I had some problems the first week, not many people wanted to talk to me, they thought my accent was strange. After some days some girls started to talk to me and I found my new best friends. The lessons are strange, i didn t know what most of the lessons i had was, but i was lucky my new friends helped me out, they had a literature club that they called Doki Doki Literature Club. It s a great club and really funny we read about Civil War and other interesting things. Monday I had 3 lessons of math, it was really hard to have focus and not sleep after 2 hours of it. After I finished math lesson I had P.E. Sport, (Physical education) my class played American football. The first day was really hard to get through, but I managed it. After Sport lesson I thought school was over, but I was wrong there was still 1 more lesson left. I noticed people in USA have 8 hours of school, in Denmark we only had 7 hours and 10 minutes. But it didn t matter that much, my favorite friends and I had a great time together. Tuesday was my hardest day I had Spanish lesson, a whole new language i had to learn. It was not ready to learn a new language, it was like i gave up French for Spanish. Each day there is always something new in the canteen, but it was delicious. After lunch I had Public Speaking Room were we learned how to speak on a stage to a big crowd and try to not get nervous. I actually have a really interesting episode from my first week in this school, the teacher told me to be the first on to speak to the crowd, I were really nervous and I couldn t get a word out of my mouth, I just looked at the big crowd staring at me while I were silence on the stage, it was really awkward for me. But luckily no one speaks about it. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday was alright nothing interesting happened. I still have a hard time understanding schools in USA are so different from schools in Denmark. There are some good and bad on both sides, I have less time with friends because the school ends at 16:30 most days, but after a week I made many friends and now people are interested in my accent and the fact that I can speak Danish. Much love from Selena
