Gandhi’s full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Gandhi is born in Porbandar in Gujarat, on October 2nd in 1869. Gandhi was born into a Hinduism family. His family was wealthy, and from one of the higher castes in India.

In 1914, Gandhi made a demonstration and that will inaugurate the idea of political fasting. A civil campaign against the British in India begins March 12 in 1930.

Gandhi was the leader of the India independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandhi was a good leader not only because he empowered all Indians on a salt march to corrupt the British economic system. He also inspired all Indians to understand and learn resistance through non-violent civil disobedience. Gandhi was a visionary leader.

Gandhi has come to be known as the Father of India, and he fought for the civil rights and that the poor and the rich should have the same rights.

In 1932, Gandhi begins a “fast into death” to protest the British government’s treatment of India’s lowest caste, which was called Untouchables. Gandhi calls them “God’s children”.

India Becomes free from 200 years of British rule in 1947. A victory for Gandhian principles and non-violence in general.
