He waited and waited and waited and was beginning to think that he might have gone to the wrong house. He knew he would miss his parents during the next year, but he was also excited about the prospects of living somewhere different. He looked around to see the new place where he would be spending the entire year on. It was somewhat sad, the thought of not seeing his parents for such a long time. Coming to a foreign place that he had never been before all by himself, seemed challenging. He was nervous yet excited, new place, new house, new friends and new family. He looked forward to having a completely new experience. When the house’s owner, a tiny old woman, opened the door, she welcomed him cheerfully and looked admiringly at him. “Oh, come along, dear. I have been expecting you.” said the woman with a cheerful smile, “You poor thing, you must be exhausted!” The old lady looked puzzled to learn that he had traveled all the way from Denmark to the USA. “well I think you could need some massage, and a jump in the pool” the sweet old woman said. “You have a pool,” I said and was suddenly in the perfect mood. “Yep, come here with me when I show your room and then you can change” “Thank you miss,” he said. They went up to his room, and he saw his new roommate. “Hi, I’m David,” his new roommate said. When he gets into the room, there were clothes on the floor, and chips and empty bears over the whole. It was a little weird for him because at home there was always nice and clean. On the bed in the new room, which was big enough for 3 persons to sleep on, there lay an envelope. He opened the envelope and found a letter from the house’s owner and the key to his room and to the front door of the house. He sat down on the bed and started reading the letter. "Welcome our house! We hope you enjoy your time here. Don’t hesitate to ask whenever you need anything! Everyone is here for you! " As he read the letter he felt very welcome. The letter and kind words seemed to ease out his sadness for a while. It was getting late, so I laid on the bed, and fall asleep. The next morning, I woke up to a lough from the downstairs, I looked over to my roommate’s bed, and there was no one there. The clock was 10 o’clock. I took my clothes on and went down to the kitchen for breakfast, and when I came down from the stairs, I first saw the old ladies, and then in the next room, I saw many other guys. I ate my breakfast while talking with the new kind friends I made. They told me, that there was going to be this nice pool party that night, so I was very excited. So, the days go at the pool, at the pool that day. At the night began I had token my fines clothes I had on, to the big pool party. My roommate came with a beer, at the first I said no because I had not planned to drink any alcohol. But then there was this beautiful girl at the party that I wanted to improve myself to her, that I was a big guy. So, I played many beerbong games that night and I kissed a lot of girls. At the very end of that night, I clearly remember one thing I was thinking “Is this really what the whole next year is bringing to me? And the nice big house and a lot of girls and alcohol? Shit, this is amazing”.
