”Let’s Be Honest, Gun Control Opponents” - Analytic Essay

The text or article was written by Nick Laure in June 2016. He wrote this article mainly focused on people who are pro-gun. He is writing them this article, because he wants to show them, the dangerous side of guns and also, what people who are pro-gun control think about them. The article has most certainly appeared in both a newspaper, but also as an internet article.

The article has a very critical view of the pro-gun people, he speaks down to them as if they are not as good as those who are against guns. To make it appear this way Nick Laure is speaking directly to the reader, who is a pro-gun person, "Your gun rights are more important to you than other people's lives", here he is attacking them hard, he says it just the way that he thought it. There is no holding back in this article, Laure just goes wild. "Admit that you gun right are more important to you than preventing even one mass shooting", where he is forcing them to say something that might not necessarily be true, but he is trying to say that guns do not solve gun problems, but forcing them into saying it is somewhat wrong, because not all people who are pro-guns are alike. He also says that giving weapons to guards does not mean that they will necessarily prevent a shooting since the attacker could do a surprise attack.
