Everyday a new shooting in America appears in the news. It happens all the time, but when is it enough and haven’t we lost enough lives to guns? Why don’t they make a change? Cant they see that the gun law is a problem? That is just some of the questions that many people are wondering about.
Large numbers of American citizen are gun owners. But why do they love guns so much? Don’t they see how much pain and grief it has brought? Lots of Americans tells that they own guns to feel more safe. They feel like they can protect themselves against others with their guns. But safety is not the only opinion about guns in America. In the article “It’s to easy to buy guns, a majority of Americans say” by Michele Gorman, published in Newsweek, on 6/30/17, there is some results of different surveys. “If more people carried guns, the U.S. would be “less safe,” 57 percent of voters said in the survey. Half of those surveyed who live in houses with a gun said they share the same belief.” That shows that several of the people that lives in houses with guns, think that less guns would be more safe. But if they think that, then why not get rid of the guns?
