Dear Grandmother, I hate it here in out with and I wish I were back in Berlin. The house in Berlin was so cool, it had 5 floors, you could explore it all day long and I had other kids to play with all the time. The House here in Out With is just too boring, it has 3 floors and except dads office all the rooms are very small. Already after the first few minutes I had explored the whole house. In front of the house there is a large, nice and flower filled garden garden behind the garden stands a bench with a plague on it. But I can't read it from my window and mom and dad did tell me not to go in that direction, and with no exceptions. A little bit further along everything changes, first there is a very high fence even higher than our house. The fence is holdet from huge wooden posts like telegraph poles and at the top of the fence, there are enormous bales of barbed wire tangled I spirals, I am always freezing when I look at them and I can't imagine what they are for. Behind the fence there are very many huts and small buildings there is no grass, just hard ground. When I first showed that to Gretet, she thought it was the countryside, but I do not agree because there are no animal or plants. I can always see to smokestacks in the distance and very many soldiers when I look out of the window in my room, don`t no what they are there for to. But the most extraordinary thing at this place are the people living behind the fence in the huts and small building. They are all boys, fathers and grandfathers, no girls at all. They have grey striped pyjamas on and no hair, generally they don`t look very happy. I have no idea who they are. Do you have an idea who they are? I miss you and grandfather soooo much, hope I see you soon your loving grandson, Bruno
