Have you ever had a dream so good, that you just want to stay in it forever? You know, that kind of dream where you’re cuddling with puppies, and then suddenly the puppies turn into the young version of Leonardo DiCaprio, and then there’s finally peace in the world.
Well, for me it’s the same with my dream destination. When a dream becomes so fantastic it’s unreal, I don’t want to wake up. So, I don’t want to visit them. There’s this one place, that has been scaring the life of me, but it’s a place I’ve always wanted to see.
I fell in love with France the first time I read the novel “me before you” by JoJo Moyes. The novel is about two young people, who have absolutely nothing in common, until love gives them everything to lose. Short summery, whatever. Lovely book!
But that’s how it is with books. They let your expectations and imagination go wild. In your right hand, you have a page straight from paradise, and in the other, you have a page full of disappointment. (ret komma, min egen fejl. Ik din [NAVN A])
I love the quote “Just do It!”. I am just really terrified of taking the first step. Why? Because everything must be perfect - or else! Whether your bucketlist is a trip through the African safari, a trip thru Russia by train (Taking the driveway?) Or anything related to that. You are afraid of it not living up to your expectations. Maybe you’re saving up for next year, to make the trip as perfect as possible.
