To make a good website, you have to consider a lot of things. Making an interesting and popular social media is not just a good idea and a well thought concept. One of the other things you also would have to consider is what design it should have, whether you should have friends or just be able to follow each other, besides that there’s lots of other things to take in mind. Especially the design of the website is important. Another thing to think over is the purpose of the website. Whether you want it to be public and only half-true like Facebook, where you’re friends with colleagues, neighbours, and distant family and therefore don’t state the whole truth, anonymous but honest like Tumblr where you usually don’t announce your real name and therefore you can say your honest view on different subjects, or something in-between like Twitter.

Besides those things, it’s also important that the website is user-friendly, so that every age range can use it. It should be easy for them to navigate through the website, but the design might be a little confusing for them, so that they can stay on the website for some longer time. Fx Youtube can make you stay on for hours because they keep showing you new videos that might interest you, and you believe it and stay online for hours. The layout should therefore be simple and easy to use, but also interesting and with a whole lot of content. It should look good and work good on every device. For the website or social media to be popular, it should be easy to log on and make a new user. You should be able to share the media on other social medias, and the new website should have something new and innovative to offer. People probably don’t want another social media like Twitter or Facebook, because they already work well.
