Analysis of 'The Shinning Mountain'

The text ‘’the shinning mountain’’ takes place in Scotland, we see that in the text at page 18, 1 line. ‘’Once there was a Scottish girl’’ this doesn’t tell us the text takes place in Scotland, but the likelihood of that is pretty big. The text mostly takes place at the mountain called ‘’the shinning mountain’’

The main characters are pangma-la (the daughter), the father and the mountain goddess

Pangma-la characteristics: I would guess that she would be around 14-15 years old, I choose to guess this since it seems the girl is still young, she is in school, and she does seem to act in a way a 14 year old would, for example to not wanting to let her father down and so on. We don’t get told a lot about her appearance, but we do get told a lot about her mentality. She is very strong-willed, she does all it takes to train and prepare for the mountain climbing, her inspiration is her father, she doesn’t want to disappoint him.

Pangma-la’s father characteristics: I would guess that the father would be in his thirty’s because he is able to do mountain climbing and such things. We don’t really get to know what he looks like, but he is very strong-willed just like his daughter, he likes to push himself to his limits, and to be the best version of himself.
